Data that stays on your device

The app accesses the following in order to work. Your data is never sent to Arin Works or any server. A document (PDF, image) or backup file leaves the device only when you share it, and only to the app you choose.

• App activity — the vehicle details, service, fuel and mileage entries, due dates, notes and parking note you enter are kept on the device, never sent to any server, and used for reminders, summaries and charts
• Financial info — the service, fuel, insurance, tax and other amounts you enter are kept on the device to calculate summaries and charts and are never sent to any server
• Personal info — the number plate and policy number, and any name, ID number or address visible in the registration, policy and invoice images you add, are kept on the device and never sent to any server; the plate never appears in notifications, widgets or file names
• Photos — receipt, invoice, policy, registration, car and parking photos you take or pick are resized, stripped of location data and copied into the app's own folder
• Files and docs — PDF documents you add, the sale PDF, CSV and backup files are kept or made on the device; the app never sends them anywhere by itself, and they go to the app you choose when you share them

Permissions requested

• CAMERA — To photograph receipts, policies, your car and your parking spot
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To remind you before inspection, insurance, kasko, tax and service dates

Storage and deletion

Your data is stored in the app’s own storage area on your device. On Android, the app is not backed up to your Google account; deleting the app removes your data from the device. On iOS, app data may be included in your device's iCloud backup; that backup stays in your Apple account and never reaches us. You can export your data at any time using the in-app backup feature; the backup file goes only where you send it. The backup is an unencrypted file that can include the photos you added (ZIP), so keep it somewhere you trust.

Children’s privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date on this page changes. The current version is always available on this page.
